The movie take glance at the life of Emilio Aguinaldo ( E.R Ejercito) it begins with him as a child, unaware of the great life ahead of him, receiving a strange prediction from an elder fortune teller. His joining of the Katipunan, his leadership in Cavite, his conflict with Anres Bonifacio (Cesar Montano), the struggle for recognition of the country's sovereignty, the tension with Antonio Luna also witness here what happen to the declaration of independence of the Philippine from the Spanish conquest at the Americans, running and defeat in the second elections and the second world war.
Before I watch El Presidente previously thought it was a story or myth. I first watched it on T.V that the title of segment is "BAYANI". As a child, I knew there were to few heroes like Dr. Jose P. Rizal, A. Bonifacio, M. Aquino, A. Mabini, E. Aguinaldo and others. But as I watch a movie so much more I have met many heroes including the american. My imagination was widen and i met their personality as well as the events of that period. Because of this movie I know the cause of their deaths, election fraud and other cases that have not been verified, until now is controversial of some historian and there are still many questions unanswered.
While watching a movie I have noticed to the films. Some are Positive and some are Negative. A film that financed, many actors who puts in a character sometimes right, sometimes not. Bonifacio retrieved good, but too bad and made a bad supremo and also Antonio Luna. Obviously, the movie actually prejudiced for Aguinaldo. Yet, despite this the result was good in the film and also in Philippine History. Life was not exactly and too bias. In the end, still showed the message every hero. contemporary the filipino's love for the motherland.
